A million dollar baby

For this “Theme 4: a million dollar baby” I wanted to do something with a meaning behind it. I started thinking and knew i wanted to do something with a dollar bill and a strong woman. After talking about it with friends we came on the idea to open up the theme, and put a strong African-American woman with a million dollar business in the spotlight.

So this million dollar bill is a tribute to all African-Americans and all woman who work hard to get to the top of what thy do. Our first thought where Oprah Winfrey, but then when I came home and started preparing to start the illustration I looked into the history of African-American business woman in the USA. And that’s how I came across Madam C. J. Walker.

So if you like to know more about her you can read up on her on this Wikipedia page So this theme took a bit longer than I wanted due to lot of private things but it finally got finished this weekend and so I start working on these themes again.

The apps used for this illustration is in the first place Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC to edit the images that are used in it. I created a front and backside of a million dollars bill. Hope you like the work i put into it, I had a great time creating this.
